Sambho Siva Sambho, starring Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh, Siva Balaji and Priyamani, has entered it’s final shooting schedule. The film, which is a remake of the Tamil hit Nadodigal, is directed by Samuthirakani (who directed the Tamil original) and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under the Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner.
The movie was launched in August and shooting began shortly thereafter in Kurnool on August 16th. The shooting unit then moved to Hyderabad and finally, to Rajahmundry. Sambho Siva Sambho reportedly deals with the themes of friendship, love and sacrifice and the consequences of decisions based on those themes. Ravi Teja shares the leading role with Allari Naresh and Siva Balaji while Priyamani is cast as one of the ‘friends’.
My sources tell me that Roja has been cast as one of the supporting characters in the film. This would mark her comeback to Telugu cinema after her disastrous venture into politics. Sunil, Krishna Bhagawan, Krishnudu, Mukhesh Rushi, Raja Ravindra, Ahuti Prasad, Jeeva, Sudha, Kinnera, Abhinaya, Suryatej, Praveen, Chitralekha and Radhakumari round out the supporting cast.
As for the rest of the crew: Sundar C Babu is composing the music, cinematography is by G Muthaiah, action is by Ram-Lakshman, dialogues are by Sashank Vennelakanti, lyrics are by Chinni Charan, and art is by Narayana Reddy, while story, screenplay and direction are by P Sumudirakani.
In an interview, producer Bellamkonda Suresh said – “This is the ninth film of our banner. I am introducing the director to the Telugu film industry. We are also introducing Sundar C. Babu, who scored tunes for the original version. We are confident that the movie’s theme of love and friendship will attract all classes of audience.”
Sambho Siva Sambho’s music launch is scheduled for October and the film release is tentatively slated for late-November.
